WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO WORK WITH AN ACCREDITED AGENCY?
The state adopiton laws in Georgia require that anyone participating in child placing activities be either a licensed agency or attorney. This garanteess that any professional assisting with adopiton has state oversight to ensure ethical practices. When it comes to forming families through legal adoption, nothing is more important than ensuring the emotional, financial, and legal security of everyone involved in the adoption process. ADVERTISING IN GEORGIA
Because state law prohibits anyone unlicensed in the state of Georgia to participate in child placing activities, it is likewise unlawful to advertise without a license number. Any ads for adoption services seen in the state of Georgia should contain a Georgia license number. If an ad does not contain a license number, it is unlawful and should be reported and removed.
